The final $2 million phase of a 12-hectare parkland within Peet Limited’s Cardinia Lakes community was officially launched by Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Graeme Legge at the end of July.
The launch coincided with the announcement of a new land release at the community, The Pinnacle Release, which includes 20 elevated homesites overlooking the lakes parkland and the neighbouring conservation reserve.
On completion, the $4.9 million lakes precinct will provide a new social and recreation hub for Cardinia Lakes’ residents and the wider Pakenham community.
Cr Legge commended Peet for providing a valuable new recreation facility for the rapidly growing community.
“Cardinia Shire is one of the fastest growing municipal areas in Victoria. It’s important to take a proactive approach, respond to evidence and forward plan,” Cr Legge said.
“Working with developers like Peet enables to us plan the growth of the area and ensure that residents have access to key services and amenities as soon as they move in.”
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said Peet was pleased to be providing quality affordable land in such a growth area.
“The $4.9 million lakes precinct is being created around two existing lakes, which have formed naturally from the remains of old quarries,” said Mr Gore.
“The project has involved some very innovative engineering and design work and is an outstanding asset for this very popular community.”
The precinct will offer ample recreational areas, including walking and biking tracks, picnic and barbeque facilities, as well as a timber amphitheatre over-looking the east lake. It will form the centrepiece of the Cardinia Lakes community, which is already home to some 300 households.
All homesites in Cardinia Lakes are within walking distance of the lakes precinct, or one of the community’s other landscaped parks.
Close to the lakes and conservation reserve, the new Pinnacle Release is set to be one of the most desirable areas within Cardinia Lakes.
The Pinnacle Release offers homebuyers a range of land size options, from cottage lots of 384sqm through to spacious homesites of 640sqm.
Due to the elevated, quiet location, homebuyer interest in the Pinnacle Release is expected to be high.
