Peet is committed to environmental excellence and sustainable development at all of its communities across Australia.
At Cardinia Lakes, Peet has embarked on a long-term environmental management plan to rehabilitate and maintain bushland areas, and encourage the growth of indigenous flora and fauna.
The program, which has been endorsed by the Victorian government’s Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), will see over 8,000 trees, shrubs and grasses planted over the next five years. The maintenance and improvement activities are being undertaken over a 10 year timeframe, although the areas will be maintained and protected in perpetuity.
Exciting News!Cardinia Lakes has been awarded EnviroDevelopment accreditation by the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) in the categories of Ecosystems and Community – and becomes one of three Peet Victorian communities to be recognised in this way. Read More.
